Plymouth Writers Group – Open Fiction Writing 2014/15

Plymouth Writers Group relocated to the Plymouth Arts Centre in Looe Street, Plymouth in March 2014, and have launched their latest Open Fiction Short Story Competition.

  • Closing Date: 1st February 2015.
  • Maximum 2,000 words.
  • Any subject matter.
  • £5.00 entry fee per submission.


  • First Prize: £250
  • Second Prize: £50
  • In addition to any prize money, those entries judged from First to Fifth will automatically appear in the 2015 Plymouth Writers Group Anthology.

The Plymouth Writers Group competition is being supported by the English and Creative Writing Department of the University of Plymouth. The Adjudicator will be Mike Sullivan, Plymouth's Poet Laureate.

An exciting opportunity for writers from the S.W. region, nationally and internationally.
