Latest Festival News
  • We'll be going back to the University of Warwick for NAWGFest 2017, so mark your diary now: 1st—4th September.
  • Peter Robinson will be speaking after the Gala Dinner.
  • Note that there is now an optional extra Monday for the festival.

Festival Information

On the weekend after the August Bank Holiday, both NAWG members and like-minded writers with a broad spectrum of abilities, get together for an exceptional weekend, focussed on improving their writing.

It's a memorable weekend, which includes the use of: a fitness suite, a heated swimming pool, and workshops in state of the art classrooms. Meals created by a top chef and excellent en-suite facilities with showers.

Following the success of previous years, this year's festival was once again held at the University of Warwick.

Gala Dinner & Awards Ceremony

One of the highlights of the festival, was the Gala Dinner on Saturday evening. You can see some photographs from last year's dinner in Pam's write-up. This was followed by the Awards Ceremony, where the winners of the 2016 NAWG members' competitions were announced.

This year, Professor Gervase Phinn entertained us with an after-dinner talk.
