I have an Egg !

Henry Curry • 7 April 2020

WiT week 1 (poem with no letter 'O')

I have an egg
an Easter Egg!
I want it eaten
it’s irresistible,
impressive, purple wrapped.
Tempting me with its curves,
feasting my eyes, I’m mesmerised.
It sits glittering, teasing me.
in the spring light.

I had an egg
an Easter Egg!
It’s disappeared, cheated me
A melted runny mess!
My eyes grew bigger,
My figure stayed slimmer,
I’m frustrated, unimpressed.
A purple wrapper
is all that’s left!
